LIMP BIZKIT Cancel European Tour!
May 12, 2003LIMP BIZKIT have reportedly cancelled all of their previously announced European festival appearances this summer in order to concentrate on completing their next studio effort, due in early September through Flip/Interscope Records. The band's participation in the North American Summer Sanitarium tour is not expected to be affected by the cancellation.
As previously reported, LIMP BIZKIT's long-awaited new album, now supposedly called "Panty Sniffer", seemed ready for release in May, but after BIZKIT finally named Mike Smith (ex-SNOT) as the replacement for guitarist Wes Borland, the group scrapped the finished tracks and began working on new material.
The original plan called for the album to be released in time for the July 4 kickoff of the Summer Sanitarium tour, which features LIMP BIZKIT alongside METALLICA, LINKIN PARK, DEFTONES and MUDVAYNE. LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst now insists an as-yet-unnamed single will be issued beforehand.
